My Story
Nature is fascinating. Nature has been a constant throughout my life, despite its ever changing state. Nature has fed my imagination and curiosity. Something which has not died through the years.

Some of my earliest memories are being outside - helping care for the vegetable garden we had, with removing the large green caterpillars that love tomato plants, picking the shed skin of cicadas off pine trees, and holding a couple of adults in my hand, plus exploring the various botanical gardens my dad took the family and I to.

Fast forward, I have worked on a landscape maintenance crew for a little over 7 years and graduated with my Bachelor of Applied Horticulture and Minor in Environmental Studies at Kent State University. I am now working as a horticulturist at Longwood Gardens. I started off pulling weeds and mulching, but that soon changed into watering, planting, and eventually hedge trimming and tree pruning. Now I am designing new gardens or redesigning those that I have worked on through the years as the ones featured here.

This is only the start. I am excited to get the chance to grow my experience and knowledge through all the projects I'll eventually get to be a part of.
